"Do You Do Sudoku?"

Abstract: Participants will be challenged with Sudoku and other puzzles.  Examples of a number of different types of puzzles will be given and you will be an active participant.

Biography: Jane Tanner is a professor of mathematics at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, New York. She teaches her entire load of mathematics courses online through the SUNY Learning Network. Jane received her AB in Mathematics from Cornell University and her MS in Education (Secondary Mathematics) from the State University of New York at Oswego. She has also taken numerous hours in statistics at the College of Environmental Science and Forestry and recently completed a certificate program in online teaching at UCLA Extension. Jane was a recipient of an Award for Innovative Excellence in Teaching, Learning and Technology in 2005 and is listed in the 2005 edition of "Who's Who Among America's Teachers". She is a frequent presenter at state and national conferences.
