"A Knight's Tour"

Previous Lectures: (Voting Paradoxes)

Abstract: A knight moves about a chessboard in a particular way: each move is a path shaped like an "L". Which squares on the chessboard can be reached by these moves? How many moves will it take to get from one square to another? We will look at these, and similar questions.

Biography:Susan Hollingsworth is a professor of mathematics at Edgewood College, where she has been teaching for two years. She particularly enjoys playing with graphs, matrices, and the interconnections therebetween.
